CS-FSTD(H) mirrors CS-FSTD(A) for helicopter Flight Simulation Training Devices — FFS, FTD and FNPT qualification. The substantive content is structurally parallel to the aeroplane Part, with helicopter-specific provisions (rotor dynamics, ground effect, hover modelling) where the aeroplane CS would treat handling qualities or stalls.
Authoring the two CS-FSTD Parts in parallel made the structural alignment obvious and the helicopter-specific divergences clean to surface. The checklists are parallel by design — an FSTD operator running both fixed-wing and rotary-wing devices can use them side by side without retraining auditors on a different structure.
